 Wish Appeal Progress Report

We have now established detailed plans for Phase 9 of the redevelopment at Lincolnshire House. The only original 1960ís building remaining on site is the flats and the administration building. This facility was not purpose built as it was initially used for staff accommodation. The three flats are outdated and are not wheelchair friendly. The administration building is on the first floor, although there is a lift the corridors and facilities are not very accessible for people with disabilities.

The plan is to demolish the existing building and build new flats and an administration building. The flats will have a large bedroom with En-Suite facilities, open plan lounge and kitchen. One of the flats will be large enough to accommodate a couple. We are looking at different models of care that the service users will be able to access. The tenants will have the opportunity to live independently, but have the opportunity to access all the facilities at Lincolnshire House.

The total cost of the project is £648,000; to date we have raised £400,000. We will raise the required balance from trusts and our fundraising events that we have planned and are planning in the future.
